Nettles Immersion

In times of intensity we need medicine to match. Enter Nettles: no-nonsense, protective, unignorable. One of the more misunderstood medicinals, Nettles is a plant that many hate but pretty much everyone needs! Come turn your prejudices into predilections! We'll be: 

-Visiting our favorite "domesticated" nettle patch and getting to know its stewards, a couple who converted a plot of contaminated quackgrass into a lush, deep-soiled garden filled with food and medicine

-Sharing food together and touring around this amazing garden to ogle, get inspired, and learn about its creation and maintenance

-Tending the Nettle patch, getting some ready for transplant-Attuning with Nettle's energetic and spiritual medicine using visualization with Nettle and intuition as our guide

-Deep diving into Nettle's medicinal actions, properties, and applications (and sampling some of our favorites!)

-Discussing wild tending and reciprocity, and how you can help make nettles more abundant here in our corner of the earth  

Logistics: Garden tour and potluck at 12pm, Immersion begins at 1pm. Everyone will have the opportunity to bring home little nettle plants for their gardens or to start wild patches. Please bring a trowel, garden gloves, whatever you need for fun in the sun, something to sit on (if needed), a little bucket or pot, a notebook, and a dish to share.
