    Event description

We're delighted to extend an invitation for you to join us at our Climate Action Schools (CAS) Industry Networking Event.

CAS is dedicated to empowering schools to reduce student waste to landfill, and decontamination of recycling, through effective resource recovery.

Through a developed Sustainability Skills Centres (SSC), Woodridge State High School and Shailer Park State High School are reducing their environmental impact, changing behavior, and offering hope for the future.

To share and showcase the outcomes and impact, please join us:

Where: Climate Action School Woodridge State High School

Address: 323 Wembley Road, Woodridge Qld

    When: 3.30pm-5.30pm Wednesday October 9

This event provides an opportunity to witness students and schools in action, as they actively participate in resource recovery and decontamination, increasing recycling redemption, and uncovering and promoting circular economy opportunities.

The CAS school’s commitment to reducing student waste to landfill aligns with industries’ Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Cummins, the world’s largest diesel engine manufacturer, and a committed advocate of ESG activities, has partnered in the endeavour; the Climate Action Schools (CAS) Logan Regional Pilot Program(LRPP). In this industry rendezvous, you will also learn about Cummins' triumphant journey in the resource recovery field over the past 16 years developing the Master Rebuild Centres across the world (MRC’s), now 50% of their business!

Please note: CAS SSC’s have been built using foundational LEAN methodology which mirrors those practiced in leading industries.

We anticipate it will be an enjoyable and informative visit, offering rich insights into how schools and industries can collaboratively contribute towards a sustainable future.
