Event description

Thanks to popular demand, our next in-person meet-up will be a work-sharing session!

This will be a laid back and supportive opportunity to share a piece of your own work and to learn about others’ work.

What to bring:

Any piece of work! This could be:

  • A finished piece of work that you are proud of
  • A piece of work that you would like feedback on
  • Something you are currently working on

This is not only for visual artists! It would be delightful to have a broad range of work, from visual art, to poems and stories, to music and performance. The main thing to consider is if the piece is a good sharing format. For example, if it is a physical piece, is it safe and easy to transport? If it is something you will recite/perform, is it a good length for the time we have (eg. not much longer than 5 minutes)?

Everyone will get 5-10 minutes to share their work with the group and talk about their piece (we may have more or less time depending on the size of the group). You can also explain what kind of feedback you would like - I will suggest that we keep our feedback positive and encouraging unless someone asks for constructive criticism.
