Neuk Edinburgh: Hand-building at Mud Station Pottery Studio

Join us for a friendly meet-up and workshop at Mud Station Pottery Studio in Edinburgh.

Neuk Member and Mud Station owner, Sylwia, will present you with a couple of different hand-building techniques that will allow you to make functional pieces or, if you prefer, little sculptures.

To avoid your work being only half finished, Sylwia will glaze them afterwards; it will make them fully functional and uniquely yours. 

Please note:

• There are limited spaces, so please let us know if you are unable to attend.

• Although they provide aprons, please wear comfortable clothes that can get a little dirty.

• This workshop may run a little over time, but if you need to leave at 4.30 sharp you can.

About Sylwia

I'm a self-taught potter with a late-in-life diagnosis of ADHD. I started working with clay 20 years ago, initially as a hobby that allowed me to slow down and focus. Very quickly, as expected, ceramics became my favourite thing, and it has stayed like that to this day. Mud Station was created soon after I moved to Scotland, and it has slowly and organically grown into the studio where I share my knowledge and spread the bug of pottery wider and wider. I love exploring the boundaries of different materials, hoarding discontinued "vintage" glazes and woodfiring.

Access

The workshop is wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately they do not have accessible bathrooms.

There is no venue parking, but there is both paid and free parking nearby.
