Neuk Presents: Letters to My Weird Sisters: Writing Neurodivergent Friendship with Elspeth Wilson
Event description
A creative writing workshop for neurodivergent participants, led by Scottish writer Elspeth Wilson, part of Book Week Scotland 2025.
Inspired by Letters to My Weird Sisters by autistic author Joanne Limburg, this workshop invites you to explore the friendships that have shaped you – especially the kinds of neurodivergent friendships that are often overlooked or misunderstood. We’ll take inspiration from the book’s format of “letters” to historical figures or personal connections, and you’ll be encouraged to create your own writing in whatever style or form feels right for you.
This is a supportive, relaxed space designed for neurodivergent participants. There’s no pressure to share your work unless you’d like to – you can take part in whatever way feels comfortable.
This workshop follows Letters to My Weird Sisters: Joanne Limburg in Conversation with Elspeth Wilson
This workshop is strictly limited to 10 participants - if you book but can’t make it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to someone else.
