Neurodivergent Burnout: Neurodiversity In Discussion...
Event description
Recorded live with audience participation, this episode of Neurodiversity in Discussion... dives headfirst into the tangled realities of neurodivergent burnout; not the neatly defined version you’ll find in research, but the raw, messy, lived experience of it.
Through an AuDHD lens, we explore the diagnostic chaos that surrounds burnout: how autistic, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent people are often misread, misdiagnosed, or dismissed entirely when their systems collapse under chronic stress and unmet needs.
Together with our audience, we unpack the many faces of burnout; from shutdowns and withdrawal to hyperactivity and emotional flooding, and challenge the ableist narratives that tell us recovery means “getting back to normal”.
This isn’t just a conversation about exhaustion; it’s about identity, survival, and reimagining what thriving looks like when you live in a world built to misunderstand you.
Expect honesty, laughter, and a little beautiful chaos along the way.
