Presenter Bio

Abi Raymond (she/her)

I am a neurodivergent (AuDHD), queer, Pākehā counsellor, arts therapist, clinical supervisor, trainer, and mother based in Tāmaki Makaurau. With over 20 years of clinical experience, professional training, research, and lived experience as a multiply neurodivergent professional and parent, I am deeply committed to advocating for neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ inclusion through affirming, intersectional, and strengths-based practice.

I collaborate closely with individuals, parents, whānau, schools, professionals, and organisations to develop neuro-inclusive and rainbow-affirming supports that empower neurodivergent individuals to thrive authentically. My private practice focuses on neuro-affirming support for parents of neurodivergent children, clinical supervision for professionals, and customised training on neurodivergent and queer-affirming approaches.

As Pākehā and Tangata Tiriti, I aim to uphold the principles of Tiriti o Waitangi in every aspect of my work and advocacy. I hold full professional membership and am an approved supervisor with both the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and the Australia, New Zealand, and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA).
