Neurological Emergencies Workshop Millicent 19 August 2025

A hands on educational session for health professionals 

Topics included in this session include

• Seizures

• Stroke

• Headache

• Altered Level of Consciousness

Attendees will be able to

• Recognize common and life-threatening neurological emergencies.

• Understand initial assessment and management principles.

• Review key diagnostic tools and red flags.

• Discuss protocols and disposition planning.

This program is suitable for ALL staff who work in the Emergency Care Setting.  Particularly Medical Staff, RMO's/JMO's, Associateship in Emergency Medicine Candidates- Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced, Nurses, GPs, Career Paramedics, and Medical and Nursing Students

This will be held in the upstairs training room at Millicent Hospital.

A light afternoon tea will be provided.

Places are limited and priority will be given to individuals who provide Emergency Care in the Limestone Coast Local Health Network.

This session will also be presented across all sites of the LCLHN throughout 2025.
