WWF-Australia's Vision to Regenerate Australia
The World Wildlife Fund is embarking on a bold $300 million campaign to Regenerate Australia - the largest and most innovative wildlife and landscape regeneration program in Australia’s history.
Come along to hear about their roadmap to recovery and regeneration to help restore wildlife and habitats, rejuvenate communities impacted by the bushfires, boost sustainable agriculture and future-proof our country for the benefit of people and nature. This is a great example of large-scale systems change, as the WWF has worked hard over a long history to build bridges between government, civil society and business in devising solutions at the scale of the challenges we face.
WWF’s Chief Conservation Officer, Rachel Lowry, and Head of Innovation and Impact Investment, Reece Proudfoot, will be joined by a panel of WWF experts to take you through the details of this amazing initiative.
Our Speakers
Rachel Lowry is the chief Conservation Officer at the World Wildlife Federation, WWF Australia and past president of the International Zoo Educators Association, and former chair of the Centre for Sustainability Leadership. She also currently sits on the Parks Victoria Advisory Committee and the Zoo Wise Advisory Committee.
Reece Proudfoot is Innovation Strategist at WWF Australia. In 2017 Reece founded WWF-Australia’s sustainable technology accelerator: Panda Labs, with a mission to develop, support and scale innovative, global solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals. Panda Labs supports both social enterprise startups and corporate ventures and is currently incubating two blockchain venture partnerships. In 2017 Reece authored the report “Can Technology Save the Planet?” and developed the WWF global network’s global blockchain strategy. Reece currently chairs the WWF global blockchain working group.
