UC Berkeley New Student Orientation Aug 3th, 2024

Dear Incoming Cal students,

Berkeley Chinese Alumni International Association (BCAIA) is an alumni chapter under the CAA(Cal Alumni Association) focusing on facilitating business, cultural and academic ties between UC Berkeley/Silicon Valley/US and Greater China.

Our summer online info session will be held on Sat, Aug 3, 2024 PT via Zoom from 7-9PM ( 10AM-12PM on Sun, Aug 4, Beijing Time).

This virtual reception is exclusively tailored to help incoming students to succeed in their future studies and get a glimpse of their future college life, majors, internships, and professional life.

Event agenda:

• Introduction of BCAIA, future activities & alumni resources
• Introduction of BCAIA student ambassador program
• College life (deciding majors, finding internships etc.)
• Group breakout sessions to get to know each other -- the interactive communication within groups will help you gain valuable tips for life and study in Berkeley as well as incredible networking opportunities for future development.

BCAIA offers a student ambassador program for inspiring UC Berkeley students to represent BCAIA among the Berkeley student body and contribute to the student-alumni event planning and organization.

The benefits of the ambassador program:

• participate in an exclusive mentorship program where you will learn about various industries that our Cal alumni are succeeding in, connect personally with Cal alumni in the areas of your interests
• get to know other students with similar interests in social events
• grow your leadership skills by taking on various roles in organizing events
• If you want to meet amazing alumni, and learn about many topics such as entrepreneurship, technology, business, or any post-college careers, BCAIA ambassador program is the gateway for you.

We are looking for ambitious, dedicated, hard-working, and eager students to join our network of UC Berkeley alumni and students.

BCAIA was formed to facilitate business, cultural and academic ties between UC Berkeley/Silicon Valley/US and Greater China and was named CAA’s Outstanding Alumni Group of the Year in 2007. Its student ambassador program has been established in 2020 and since has been well received among students and alumni. Being a role model for other chapters, BCAIA has inspired CAA to advise its other chapters to establish similar programs.
