Join the Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing and the National Disability Insurance Agency for a webinar series about the new way of planning. We’ll explain what’s changing, why it matters, and how it’ll affect participants.
You’ll hear directly from experts and have the chance to ask questions.
Session 1: New participant experience
Date: Thursday 6 November 2025
Time: 1pm to 2pm AEDT
Description: This session focuses on the new planning process. It explores the participant experience throughout the process, and what participants can expect.
Session 2: The support needs assessment tool (I-CAN)
Date: Tuesday 18 November 2025
Time: 4pm to 5pm AEDT
Description: This session introduces the new support needs assessment tool. The tool aims to create a consistent experience for participants to assess disability-related support needs. This information will be used to develop plans and budgets for participants.
Session 3: NDIA workforce transition
Date: Thursday 27 November 2025
Time: 12pm to 1pm AEDT
Description: This session provides details about building the workforce required to support the new way of planning.
Session 4: Implementing new participant plans
Date: Tuesday 9 December 2025
Time: 12 pm to 1pm AEDT
Description: This session covers elements of implementing a participant’s plan. It focuses on the new elements of a participant’s plan, like flexible and stated supports, and Rules on how funding is spent.
What to expect
The webinars will be online via Microsoft Teams.
They will run for 1-hour.
