Iri Ji is an agelong cultural celebration that marks the beginning and ending of the farming season by the people of the Igbo ethnic group from the Eastern region of Nigeria. After working very hard to plant seeds and harvest bountifully, the festival creates the opportunity for Igbos to gather at an arena to sing, dance, eat and drink in celebration of life, accomplishments, shared culture and community wellbeing.
