New Year, New You: Tiny Habits for big impact

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Please note this workshop will run across two 60-minute sessions. Your ticket grants you access to both sessions. You'll also be invited to join a free 5 day Tiny Habits challenge between each session.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to use behavioural science to create positive habits that stick.

Have you tried new years resolutions before that started well then fizzled out? Was it a new exercise plan / better sleep plan / healthier eating resolution you seized with gusto but didn't survive past a few weeks or months? Unfortunately motivation is a fickle friend, who can help get you started but disappears when things get too hard. That's why most new habits don't last the distance.

But there is an answer: by starting small, you can create big impact and make your habits stick. In this two-part workshop you'll learn how to create customised behaviour change "recipes" to help create good habits that stick and amplify over time. Building on the work of Stanford scientist, BJ Fogg, we'll show you how making small changes for yourself, and with teams can change everything.

In these fun, hands-on sessions, you'll learn:

  • The science behind behaviour change and why habits are hard to break
  • How to use a simple technique to build your own new habits, so that they stick
  • How you can hack emotions to support your new habits
  • How small habits can create the foundation for a ripple effect of positive changes
  • How to use the techniques you learn to create group, family or team habits to support a common goal

Who this session is for:

Techniques covered in this session will be valuable for anyone trying to make improvements or create change for themselves, or in their role. Yes, that's pretty much everyone - you definitely don't have to be a designer!
