Three of Melbourne's finest selector join forces to bring you a New Years Eve party like no other at Old Plates Record Bar. DJs Manchild, Mohair Slim and Celia Bow will be your hosts and they'll be'll be bringing in 2024 in the best way they know how - on the dancefloor surrounded by friends!
Long time.PBS comrades Manchild and Mohair Slim were instrumental in the foundation of the legendary PBS Soul-A-Go-Go party, a monthly dance that also encompassed many great NYE celebrations. Since then Mohair has started his own RnB and soul nights with Celia Bow, a soul sister with all the moves and grooves deep in her DJ box. Old Plates is the brainchild of DJ Manchild and he will be playing a now-all-too rare dancefloor ser of funk and disco from all corners of the globe and depths of the cosmos.
Think late night New Years Evie/Boogie campsite vibes crossed with Soul-A-Go-Go upstairs at The Bella Union... this is going to be a big one!
Going through until 3am, nothing but party music all night long.
