Newborn Nourishment - The Basics of Infant Feeding
Description
This intimate prenatal class provides knowledge, resources, and support to build a solid foundation in the basics of breastfeeding. Camilla Morrissey, IBCLC, from Monterey Bay Lactation, and Autumn Bessire Tattenham from Sweet Peas Baby, Perinatal Support & Education, co-teach this class, bringing together two experienced perinatal professionals for two evenings of practical, judgment-free, evidence-based learning.
About Camilla:
A La Leche League Leader since 2011 and an IBCLC since 2018, supporting mothers has long been Camilla's passion. She focuses on empowering parents through gentle education, trusted resources, and the natural wisdom gained by learning alongside one another—helping every mother feel confident and encouraged to trust her own instincts.
A full-time educator, Monterey local of 17 years, and mom of three, Camilla uses her Master’s degree, background in human development, and thoughtful pedagogy to translate complex early parenting moments into clear, supportive guidance.
About Autumn:
As a newborn care specialist, birth and postpartum doula, and childbirth instructor, Autumn has spent her career walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood. As a certified lactation counselor (CLC), she provides evidence-based breastfeeding education and support, helping families navigate feeding challenges with practical guidance grounded in current research.
Founder of Sweet Peas Baby, Perinatal Support & Education, Autumn now runs the practice with her daughter, Ella. A longtime member of the Monterey Peninsula community, she is the mother of three and now a grandmother herself, so she draws on both professional training and lived experience to help people navigate the transition to parenthood with steady, knowledgable support.
