Event description

Is your family prepared for an emergency?

Being prepared for an emergency can make a big difference when the unexpected happens.

We are hosting a workshop with Carers NSW on household emergency readiness.

The workshop provides you with a step-by-step guide to flood and bush fire readiness for families of people living with disability.

By taking a person-centred approach, the unique needs of your family can be taken into account, so that the preparations and plans you develop can have the best chance of meeting those needs in the event of a disaster. The workshop also covers the importance of recording and communicating essential information so that the plans you make can be followed even if you’re not able to be there.

This seminar is proudly supported by City of Newcastle and Carers NSW.
