Join us for the Newcastle Maritime Art Prize 2025, a vibrant celebration of art, community, and connection to the sea!

Proudly hosted by the Mission to Seafarers Newcastle, this annual event showcases incredible works inspired by our oceans, our port, and the vital contributions of our maritime community.

This year’s theme reflects the World Maritime Day message:

Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity, aligning with the global call to protect marine environments and honour seafarers' essential roles.

What to Expect: A stunning exhibition of maritime-inspired artworks

Over $10,800 in prize money

Six exciting award categories including youth, Indigenous, and seafarer/port worker artists

The chance to vote for your favourite piece in the People’s Choice Award

Opening night celebrations with community, creativity, and connection!

Entries are open from 16 February to 1 July 2025 — but hurry, only 200 spots are available in the main categories!
