Newcastle Pop Up Showcase
Description
Newcastle Pop-Up Showcase
We’re excited to bring Bus Stop Films’ first-ever screening to Newcastle with a special Pop-Up Showcase celebrating inclusive filmmaking, creativity and diverse storytelling.
Bus Stop Films is an award-winning, disability-led not-for-profit organisation that uses filmmaking and the film industry to raise the profile of people with disability on both sides of the camera. Founded by Newcastle native Genevieve Clay-Smith, Bus Stop Films has grown from its local roots to deliver accessible filmmaking programs, productions and industry initiatives that create opportunities for people with disability to develop skills, build connections and have their stories and talents represented on screen.
It’s an exciting opportunity for us to introduce our work to the local community, share some of the incredible films created through our programs and, importantly, get to know the Newcastle community.
Audiences will enjoy a selection of Bus Stop Films productions that champion authentic representation and showcase the talents of filmmakers with disability.
The Newcastle Pop-Up Showcase is proudly supported by the Screen NSW Audience Development Grant, helping us bring inclusive Australian stories to new audiences and communities across NSW.
