Newcastle Pride Parade: Celebrating Diversity and Bernie's 1st Birthday Bash!
Join us for the 2nd annual Newcastle Pride Foreshore Parade as we kick off Pride Month in style!
This vibrant outdoor parade along our beautiful foreshore is a celebration of local LGBTIQA+ culture, diversity, and equality. We invite you to embrace your true self and come out and paint the Newcastle foreshore with a sea of rainbow.
As we all sashay our way along the foreshore, we will be marching towards Bernie's Bar to kick off their 1st Birthday celebrations!
Bernie’s celebrations begin at 4:00 pm starting with a sizzling BBQ followed by an afternoon DJ session from 4pm.
For those who want to continue the celebration into the evening, get ready for an incredible line up of local performers including Nova Hudson, Billie Burnout, Miss Stress, and Han Superguy, along with the winner or runner-up from the Second Heat of breakout.
Our fantastic DJs Kittamine, Tiff, and Queerio will keep the night alive with their beats and energy!
Let's keep the spirit of Newcastle Pride alive and make Bernie's Bar the place to be on June 1st.

Parade Details:
1:00 PM: Assemble at Newcastle Pride tent at Nobby’s Beach.
2:00 PM: Parade starts from Nobby Beach, proceeding along the foreshore footpath, and concludes at Bernie’s Bar.
Parade Tickets: 2 tickets pp only, $2 per person ( NCC administration fees)
Group Registration: 10 + more people you will require approval and a designated group name. All group members' details must be submitted to admin@newcastlepride.com.au for approval.
Allowed in Parade:
- All ages are welcome (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).
- Portable sound systems to enhance the parade atmosphere.
- Small pushables (e.g., strollers, wheelchairs).
- Mobility scooters.
- Dogs are permitted, but please consider leaving them at home if it's a hot day.
- A must: Bring an inclusive and fun-loving attitude!
Not Allowed:
- No motor vehicles / motorcycles / Bicycles / scooters (this is a walking parade only)
- Zero tolerance for homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, or any discriminatory behaviours.
