Newday Leadership's tree planting experience with Tim Jarvis and The Forktree Project

Newday Leadership 2021 Summit attendees have the exclusive opportunity to join Tim Jarvis AM at his The Forktree Project to help 're-wild' a property near Myponga.

The Forktree Project is a registered charity whose goal is to return a degraded 133-acre former pastoral property in South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula back to nature. 

This involves re-establishing tens of thousands of native trees and shrubs on the property, which will in turn bring back native animals, insects and birds as well as sequester tens of thousands of tonnes of carbon. To put it in perspective, the average Australian’s carbon footprint each year is roughly 25 tonnes.

Once registered, you will receive the address of the Forktree Project. 

Please bring gloves and a trowel if you have them. Check the forecast and dress appropriately, including decent boots or shoes. It gets cold down at Forktree, so rug up! Please bring your own water and snacks.

Start time is officially 1.30pm; however, we will be there from 11am if you want to join earlier.
