Newkind Conference 2025

Newkind Social Change Conference is an annual event held since 2017, that brings people from all walks of life together to celebrate humanity, foster a sense of community and empower participants to engage in positive social action. The conference includes discussion panels, workshops, lectures, arts, entertainment, music and networking opportunities plus all your meals included. 

In 2025, the conference will once again be held on Dja Dja Wurrung Country, in Redbank, Victoria, and over 5 days we will learn, grow, challenge, question and inspire through a diverse range of workshops, discussion panels, a multicultural program of arts and entertainment as well as a fully functioning repair cafe, library reading room and kids program. 

The conference will open with a Welcome to Country on Wednesday 1st of October at 3pm, and close with lunch on Sunday 5th of October. Super Early Bird Tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable to other people, and can also be transferred to a future year if for any reason you are unable to attend.

Launched in 2016, the Newkind name quickly become known for its pioneering spirit and drive to contribute to social change and the betterment of the world. From leading event sustainability practice, to implementing consent training well ahead of the curve, creating a drug and alcohol free family space, providing meals included in registration cost, no charge First Nations tickets and of course the event programming; Newkind has always been a leader in ethical, equitable and environmentally responsible event design. 

The purpose of Newkind Social Change Conference is to bring together people from all walks of life to discuss the interconnectedness of our planet’s social, environmental and economic issues. Through a carefully curated program, the event seeks to inspire holistic solutions to complex challenges by synthesizing diverse perspectives and fostering cross-pollination and collaboration.

Camping
You can bring your camping gear, tents or campervans, or you can rent a tent through us, and you can leave all your cooking gear at home. Our head chef Arianne and her team will provide 3 delicious plant-based meals each day, with endless tea, coffee and fruits available. Special dietary requirements will be accommodated for as best as we possible can. 
There are other accommodation options if you would rather not camp, and you can search for options in Redbank (2mins) Moonambel (5mins), Avoca (15mins) or Maryborough (30mins). 

Travel
You can drive your car, or car pool to the site in Redbank, Victoria, or if you are flying into Melbourne, or even if you live in Melbourne, you can catch the shuttle service from Melbourne airport. We will ask for your travel arrangements after you've booked your ticket. If you are in a position to provide a spot for other travellers, stay tuned for our carpooling group closer to the event date. 

Family-Friendly Vibes
As a family friendly event we have a no alcohol policy for the event, and of course a no drugs policy as well. We make no judgements on the use of either, but would prefer to keep the space we are creating sober and as safe as possible. Pets are welcome, but dogs will need to be on a lead during the event. There will be some children's programming provided for parents who wish to bring young ones, and the entertainment in the evenings will be a range of multicultural performances, arts and poetry.
