Newkind Social Justice Conference is an annual gathering for individuals and organisations engaged in the work of building a better world. Bringing together experts, academics and professionals from the fields of Gender, Race, Climate, Economics, Environment, Human Rights and Social Enterprise, Newkind is an event for anyone and everyone who wants to discuss, deliberate and investigate the most effective ways to create meaningful and lasting positive social impact in the world.
Over 2 days at The Capitol Theatre in Naarm, Newkind will connect stakeholders from multiple sectors to facilitate in-depth and inspiring conversations around effective social change initiatives and industry-leading approaches to socioeconomic justice and social cohesion.Â
The conference is intentionally designed for cross-pollination and seeks to improve the systems change capacity of all participants by inspiring a holistic approach to social justice and community development.Â
Themes discussed at the conference will include gender equality, racial equity, First Nations Sovereignty, economic justice, environmental action, communication for change, human rights, education, employment, settlement and the intersections and relationships between these issues.
Since 2017, Newkind Conference has been at the leading edging of the most pressing conversations of our time, been a leading contributor to public discourse on multiple fronts including climate action and sustainable event design, gender equality and affirmative consent, racial and economic justice, environmental protection, Indigenous sovereignty, human rights and social cohesion.
Newkind 2022 will be the 6th annual event and it is obvious that now, more than ever, we need empowered and interconnected changemakers to contribute to social change on a local, national and international scale.Â
