Music in the Regions and Upper Peel Landcare Group proudly present acclaimed saxophone group, Nexas Quartet, performing a French-themed classical music program called ‘The French Saxophone’. This special program celebrates the heartland of the saxophone - France - and will feature pieces by famous French composers Claude Debussy and Alfred Desenclos, Australian composer Lyle Chan, and even a jazz-influenced orchestral piece by American composer George Gershwin.

Music in the Regions (MitR) is an independent touring organisation established in 2022 to connect classical musicians with regional audiences and facilitate transformative musical experiences across New South Wales. These musicians will perform in regions not traditionally visited, reinvigorating regional venues into concert venues, and fostering a vibrant, world-class New South Wales classical music industry. ABOUT UPPER PEEL LANDCARE GROUP
Formed in 2012, Upper Peel Landcare Group's original concern was the removal of woody weeds from public lands in Nundle. In October 2013, the community and UPLG members put in over 180 plants along the Peel River which runs through the town. After some down time, the group has bounced back with new enthusiasm and in 2021 began working with Nundle Library to set up a Community Garden, at which several community events and workshops have been held. The group have enjoyed expanding into the realm of hosting music events such as the Festival of the Halls tour in June and Music in the Regions in November this year.
