Next Reading Group - Plan for Equality & Prosperity Within Planetary Boundaries

Hello @FirstName,

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our recent Sufficiency Reading Group.

We had an illuminating, truly global conversation this week on the Global Justice Report, bringing together people from across Australia and Europe.

While we agreed the report offers undeniable value—and might even bridge a gap to mainstream audiences more easily than "degrowth”—it nevertheless carries traditional economic biases. It skirts around the massive issue of physical energy throughput which is central to a true ecological economics approach.

We still have two sessions left to dig deeper into the report. Join us for our next meetings as we unpack:

* What do we mean by equality and prosperity?

* How do we actually make this happen?

The sessions will be on

Wednesday 29 July 7pm

Reading matter: Chapter 1: Equality and Prosperity within Planetary Boundaries by 2100.

https://globaljusticeproject.wid.world/insight/chapter-1/

&

Wednesday 12 August 7:15pm

Chapter 4: Rebuilding majorities for equality

https://globaljusticeproject.wid.world/insight/chapter-4/

The latter meeting will be just after the DNA National catch up.

We look forward to meeting again on zoom via:
