If any of these apply to you - this event is for you!
This is a session that will assist anyone working with a young person with a disability to transition from school to the world of study and/or employment.
This session provides details regarding a specialised SLES program that helps develop social and emotional learning for success in life and work.
AGENDA FOR THE SESSION
1. Presentation by Professor Con Stough
*Introduction to Emotional Intelligence - the importance of social and emotional learning to success in life and work, and how it can be developed from school age
*How Emotional Intelligence programs for students with ASD can contribute to successful employment
* New ways of measuring emotional intelligence in people with ASD
2. MAS / intowork group
- Traineeships and apprenticeships
- Mentoring and support, incentives and funding
3. Beneficent overview of our SLES program including the use of the Aristotle program to develop improved capacity and transition to work
4. Question and answer time
There will be finger food and coffee and tea provided during question time so confidential questions can be covered.
