Description

ABOUT THE TOPIC
The Board's responsibility for safety and risk
At the heart of every effective Board, is a clear understanding of its role in overseeing safety and risk. But where does oversight end and operational detail begin?

This session will explore the Board’s responsibility for safety and risk within not-for-profit organisations, with a focus on striking the right balance between governance and management.

We’ll discuss what information should be reported to the Board, how it should be presented, and how Directors can gain confidence that key risks are being appropriately managed—without becoming involved in day-to-day operations.

This Rendezvous is designed to support NFP Directors in building clarity, confidence, and consistency in how they approach safety and risk at the Board level.

ABOUT THE RENDEZVOUS
The value of governance in your NFP, is where it is used to create alignment throughout the organisation. To do this is about more than best practice. It is about gaining the understanding of how to create the right fit for your NFP.

The NFP Governance Rendezvous is a regular space to hear how you might apply governance to your organisation, and share challenges and successes you have had along the way.

If you are a CEO, Director or Company Secretary of an NFP, or aspiring to these positions; or just wanting to learn more about governance in the NFP space, feel free to come along and be part of the conversation.

If there are specific questions you would like answered, feel free to email these through beforehand and we can look cover these earlier in the discussion.
