Description

19 to 21 December 2026, 9:00am to 6:00pm

Where: Sakya Temple of Peace, 27 Jenke Circuit, Kambah ACT

Ngon-dro is a very special transmission and teaching one must receive if one wishes to properly follow the authentic teachings of Vajrayana Buddhism as they are taught in Tibetan Buddhism.

This is a special three-day teaching combined with guided meditation of Vajrayana preliminary practice, together with the Heruka Vajrasattva empowerment and purification practice. This is especially organised to celebrate the establishment of our new temple, recruit new Sangha members and help renew those whose practice has lapsed.

This gives an excellent opportunity for people who wish to formally establish their traditional practice and be eligible to receive advanced empowerments later. You will receive the Vajrasattva empowerment, transmission and comprehensive teachings on the common foundation, refuge, bodhicitta, Vajrasattva and other related practices.

A practice manual, Rinpoche's book on the practice, refreshments and lunch will be provided for all registered participants.

About Lama Choedak Rinpoche

Born in Tibet, Lama Choedak Rinpoche trained within the Sakya lineage, where he engaged in a traditional three-and-a-half-year solitary retreat sponsored by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. With more than four decades of teaching experience, Rinpoche offers guidance that is firmly grounded in authentic lineage, yet expressed with clarity and warmth for contemporary practitioners.
