    Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania Conference 2024

    Wednesday 18th September - Friday 20th September

    St Helens, Tasmania

    Co-host: Fingal Valley & St Helens Neighbourhood Houses

    Our theme this year is Thriving People, Thriving Communities, recognising that community is vital to wellbeing, and when an individual’s wellbeing is supported, their community benefits too.

    There are three conference streams:

    • Thriving People (Supporting health and well-being)
    • Thriving Communities (Community development)
    • Thriving Organisations (Governance)

    Program details

    Join us on the sunny East Coast for two-and-a-half days of networking, learning, and fun, including:

    • Keynote addresses from Dr Peter Westoby from the Community Praxis Cooperative, and Aimen Jafri from the Migrant Resource Centre
    • Breakout sessions on self-care, community development, leadership, and more
    • Spring Feast and Festival at the St Helens Community Garden with food vans, live music, and activities
    • Thrive Market trade expo, including stalls from artists and our friends across the community service industry
    • Conference dinner - the Bees, Blooms, and Butterflies Ball (get your costumes ready!)
    • Closing morning tea at Fingal Valley Neighbourhood House with the Minister for Community Services, the Honourable Roger Jaensch

    Conference registrations opening and closing dates

      Early Bird: 11 June 12pm - 12 July 12pm (or until sold out)

      General registrations: 12 July 12pm - 28 August 12pm
