About the Event
Join us for a reflective and forward-focused forum exploring the outcomes of Nice Work if You Can Get It — a collaborative project that applied a gender equity lens to engineering and manufacturing training at Chisholm Institute.
Led by Women’s Health in the South East (WHISE), Chisholm Institute, and the South East Melbourne Manufacturers Alliance (SEMMA), and funded by the Victorian Government’s Women in Manufacturing and Energy program, the project investigated the structural and cultural barriers that prevent women from entering and thriving in manufacturing careers.
This forum will share what we learned, what was uncovered through the Gender Impact Assessment (GIA), and how education and training systems can take meaningful steps toward inclusion and equity.

Why It Matters
Manufacturing remains one of the most gender-segregated industries in Australia. The Nice Work if You Can Get It project demonstrates how change is possible when education, industry, and community work together to address inequality at the systems level.
🔗 Register now to be part of the conversation and contribute to shaping a more inclusive future for women in manufacturing.
