About the Book:

Charlie and Vivian were married for four years and divorced for 40, but Charlie never quite forgot her. Now, retired with no place to call home, he moves back to Wisconsin to see if he can find a new path forward for him and Vivian together. But Charlie still drinks too much, and although he has a beautiful home and plenty of money, he has no family to call his own and the loneliness cuts deep. Vivian’s life is filled with love, but money is tight, and she shares a small home with her daughter and granddaughters. She’s tired of being poor, of having no one to care for her, of always being responsible for someone else. When Charlie and Vivian find each other again, they find that falling back in love is the easy part. Forgiving each other—and creating a future together—will be the work of a lifetime.
