NIDR Gathering 2024
Event description
The NIDR Gathering will be a multi-day, immersive event showcasing Indigenous leadership and excellence in disaster resilience, emergency management, community recovery and Caring for Country.
This unique gathering will bring together representatives from disaster resilience and emergency management sectors, government, researchers, non-government organisations, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, Indigenous ranger groups, Native Title groups, and other land and water management organisations to build awareness, share knowledge, connect, and support an Indigenous-led conversation on disaster resilience.Â
Across the three days guests will be invited to join keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops and have the option of participating in on Country activities.
AccommodationÂ
We have an accommodation option on offer, where you stay at the Lismore Showgrounds on-site in tents that are provided. The onsite accommodation is all inclusive and is an additional cost to the NIDR Gathering ticket price and must be added at the checkout.Â
You are also most welcome to self-organise your own accommodation, and arrange to camp or stay in a local hotel or Airbnb.
On Country Activities Â
An additional ticket for 'On Country activities' will be available to be purchased through Humanitix closer to the event date. This is an optional add on to the standard program and we will be in touch with details.Â
