Nigella Screaming brings their romantic darkpop sound to Sixty Cats December 14th to celebrate the release of their latest single “Loveslip.” Presented by ALT, come along to witness their debut headline gig. They'll be supported by experimental electronic act Aeriel Silver, spacey shoegaze duo Goodbye Forever and Gosnells rock outfit Dead Tooth Hottie, with DJ set in between bands from DJ Sliding Doors, followed by RITUALS DJs from 10:30PM til close

Nigella Screaming is the musical collaboration of Max Clubley and Jacqueline La-Rue, who together blend pop, punk, industrial and lofi influences in both studio recordings and live performances. Both members are intimately involved in all aspects of the writing, recording and production of the music. Since 2023, they have established themselves as a dynamic live act across Perth and beyond. Onstage, Jac takes the lead with her haunting vocals, while Max accompanies her with a range of guitar sounds, all driven by backing tracks that seamlessly shift their style and genre on a whim.

“Loveslip” is the first single from an upcoming project that will see the duo compile the music of their first year as a live act in one album. Over that time, the song has gone through a number of changes but at its core has remained a seductive, atmospheric rocker, undercut by a robotic, thumping rhythm. “Loveslip’s” sound remains true to the act’s typical live set up with Jac’s vocals and Max’s lead guitar work taking centre stage, backdropped by a chaotic, industrial-inspired cacophony of synths, cymbals and stray frequencies.
