Night Vision in the Late Ancient Mediterranean Reading Group (2026)

As part of the ARC-funded Discovery Project 'Night Vision in the Late Ancient Mediterranean (2025-2028), we will be hosting regular online reading groups. Interested folk of all disciplines, backgrounds, and career-stages very welcome to join us in discussing aspects of wakeful nighttime activities in the ancient world led by invited expert scholars in the field. These sessions require preparatory reading to be completed (pre-circulated) and will take place online (via zoom).

Confirmed speakers for the 2026 series include Dr Tamara Lewit (University of Melbourne), Associate Professor Leslie Dossey (Loyola University Chicago), Bronwen MacDonald (University of Nagasaki), Dr Ken Parry (Macquarie University), and Dr Efrosyni Boutsikas (University of Kent).
