Step into the shadows for a double screening of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Beneath the stars and among the headstones, Jack Skellington’s world comes alive in Sydney’s most atmospheric outdoor cinema.

Enjoy more than just a movie, expect a live DJ, roaming performers, and a few scares in the cemetery grounds. Step into the film with our immersive photo booth. Delicious food stalls will be serving throughout the evening and a licensed bar will be open to keep spirits high.

Choose the early family-friendly session or the late-night 18+ screening for the full spooky experience. Don’t miss this gothic Christmas classic in Sydney's most hauntingly beautiful setting.

Event Info & Terms

WHEN:

• Doors open 4:00pm for the early session, screening begins at 5:00pm.

• Doors open 6:40pm for the late session, screening begins at 8:40pm.
  
  Please attend the session time that matches your ticket. No admission will be granted if you arrive for the wrong session.

WHAT TO BRING:
This is an outdoor seated experience held on the grass within Camperdown Cemetery seating is first-come, first-served. Dress warmly for the night air. Bring blankets, pillows, or low chairs with a seat that rests directly on the ground and a low back.

Tall chairs are not permitted. Allowable chair height in designated chair zones is 15cm from ground to seat and 50cm from seat to top of chair.

AGE RESTRICTIONS:

The 4:00pm session is an all-ages screening, however anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times in accordance with NSW liquor licensing regulations.

The 6:40pm session is strictly 18+. No one under 18 will be admitted, regardless of whether they are accompanied by an adult.

FOOD & DRINK:
Food stalls and snacks will be available throughout the night. A licensed bar will be in operation. No outside drinks or glass permitted.

ACCESSIBILITY:
Accessible entry via the Church Street gate. The site includes uneven ground typical of heritage cemeteries, please take care. If you require assistance, contact us prior to the event.

WEATHER & BACKUP DATE:
This is an all-weather event. If conditions are deemed unsafe to proceed, the event will be moved to an alternative date that will be advised (same time as your corresponding ticket).
Your ticket will automatically transfer to this date. No refunds will be issued if the event is moved.

ENTRY & CONDUCT:

• Tickets are valid for one scan only and must be presented on arrival.

• Haus of Horror reserves the right to refuse entry or remove anyone behaving inappropriately, intoxicated, or posing a risk to others or the venue.

• Pass-outs are not permitted.

PETS:
Only service dogs on leashes are permitted.

SMOKING:
Smoking and vaping are not permitted within the cemetery grounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY:
Please respect this sacred and historic site. Leave no trace, take all belongings and rubbish with you.
