Nocturnal tour in Hobsons Bay
Event description
Most of our local mammals are nocturnal and so only come out at night, which means we rarely get to see them. This includes animals like bats, possums, Rakali and non-mammals such as owls. Join us for a night of spotlighting and bat surveys to be able to see some of Hobsons Bay's nocturnal animals.
Be sure to wear enclosed shoes since some bush walking will occur. You're welcome to bring a torch however we will have powerful spotlights. Younger children are welcome but where we are walking will include many trip hazards. Also, due to the late hour and the preference to keep volumes down in order to see more, it may work to invite older children, teenagers and adults.
