    Event description

Come and celebrate the release of Nina Romeru’s new single ‘Locked Eyes’!

Join Nina and her band on the 1st of June at Momo Wholefood for a night of incredible music. Supported by incredible singer/songwriters Zo (Indie/pop) and Ella Day (Indie/Folk).

Nina Romeru’s latest single, ‘Locked Eyes’, is a story of passion and heartbreak.

With notes of neo-soul, alternative indie, and contemporary pop, ‘Locked Eyes’ is a perfect reflection of Nina’s eclectic style. From its humble beginning at Nina’s piano, ‘Locked Eyes’ has grown into a rich, emotional, full band piece. It takes you through the throws of sadness, longing, and anger with lilting melodies and bold lyrics.

Inspired by artists such as Lianne La Havas, YEBBA and Hiatus Kaiyote, Nina’s music blends neo-soul, jazz, folk and indie into her own unique style. Her soulful vocals and background of classical training contribute to a gentle and emotive sound which shines in this new track.

Singer/songwriter Zo crafts a seamless meld of confessional indie folk & dreamy indie pop, with a touch of r&b vocals, that evokes names like Julia Jacklin, Lizzy Mcalpine & Daniel Cesar. Hailing from The Hunter, Zo explores themes of heartbreak and introspect in her acoustic duo, alongside saxophonist Izzy Alexander.

Ella Day is a Newcastle-based folk-rock musician and singer-songwriter renowned for her emotive, relatable lyrics and soothing melodies. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, she captivates audiences with her heartfelt performances. With her debut single released in 2022 and her EP "Drawing on the Walls" out, Ella continues to make waves in the music scene, enchanting listeners with her poignant storytelling and soulful compositions.

Mark your calendars, this is a night you don’t want to miss!
