Nina Suriya

Join Nina Suriya for an intimate heart felt evening of music before she leaves WA Margaret river region. Nina Suriya is an Anglo-Indian world folk musician. Predominantly a singer, guitarist and
spoons player, with background in piano and mandolin.
Her unique musical family upbringing took her through a wide range of genres, ranging from
jazz, traditonal Irish/English/Scottish folk, funk, to bluegrass, to classical Indian and choral.
Nina’s life experience collaborating on the road and living in protest camps as a
feminist/front-line activist defending nature and oppressed communities informs her musical
journey with vulnerability and honesty.
