Nine Lessons and Carols - Albany 2024
Event description
Adam James Cook and Swanharp bring you a celebration of the true meaning and music of Christmas, featuring choir, harp consort, brass quartet and organ.
In keeping with a well-loved tradition over a century old, the candles are lit, and our readers will guide you through the narrative of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the miraculous birth of Jesus. Each lesson will be illuminated by a carol, carefully selected to reflect the themes and emotions of the scripture. From the majestic to the intimate, our carols will transport you to a bygone era, evoking the magic and wonder of the Christmas season.
