Nineties Music Bike Party
Description
Come forget about the outside world for two hours. Doesn't matter if you were there in the 90s, or are new to that decade's music, we welcome all people on all cycles, scooters, and skates.
Our bike parties fight loneliness, foster social connection and conversation, and are slow, guided and joyful way to experience the national capital.
This ride is on separated paths and mostly flat, except for the approaches to the bridge over Lake Ginninderra.
Easy access from the Belconnen bus interchange/Cohen St stop if you're bringing a cycle on the front of a bus.
Bring your own lights and helmet, and if you can, dress up like people did in the 1990s. We'll bring the JBL Partybox to blast out your favourite songs by these artists, and many more. (For an idea about what to expect, here’s one we held in Tuggeranong).
Give us your song suggestions, especially one hit wonders, and any of the classics.
We'll meet outside the Belco Arts Centre, do a slow loop of Lake Ginninderra (it's about 7km) and return to the Arts Centre. We might make it a little longer if there's demand.
