Event description

The NJ Surcharge collected fines for traffic violations is a unpaid surcharge on the fine you must pay for certain motor vehicle charges. The amount of the fine and vehicle surcharge is determined by the municipal court. If you are convicted of a Traffic Violation of any law against speed limit, careless driving or reckless driving, you will have to pay an additional $100 NJ Surcharge fee. If you drive without insurance and get caught, you will have to pay an extra $500 vehicle surcharge fee.

The NJ Surcharge Fees for traffic violations is only added to your fine if it’s your second offense within 5 years. If this is not your second offense within 5 years, there are no additional fees that need to be paid at the time of sentencing. However, there may be other fees associated with your case that will still be due at sentencing such as Municipal court costs or probation supervision fees. The NJ surcharge fee for violating traffic rules and laws , also known as the “driver responsibility fee,” is a flat fee that is added to your New Jersey state driver’s license and/or vehicle registration. The surcharge debt is usually assessed when you are cited for certain moving violations such as speeding, driving without a valid license or insurance, or failing to pay child support.

The NJ surcharge for Moving Violations can be very expensive, increasing the cost of your traffic ticket by hundreds of dollars. And if you accumulate enough points on your driving record, it could lead to suspension of your driver’s license. If this happens, you will need someone at law who knows how to handle these matters in municipal court. The NJ surcharge collected is administered through the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC). If you have accumulated enough points on your license or registration due to Traffic Tickets or other speeding violations and do not pay them off within 30 days, the MVC will suspend your driver’s license until all of the points are paid off. To avoid MVC surcharge fee, pay NJMC Ticket online within statutory limits to avoid driver’s license cancellation.

If you are convicted of a parking violation in the state of New Jersey, you will be charged with a fine and the New Jersey Surcharge Total. The NJ point Surcharge  is an additional amount imposed for certain offenses under the Code of Criminal Justice and other statues. The amount of the surcharge will depend on your offense. The NJ surcharge for Traffic Citations is a fee assessed as part of licensing for drivers convicted of parking violations. The surcharge amount is due at the time of sentencing and can be paid with cash, money order or certified check.
