Hume's No Waste Cook Club with Open Table

Residents of Hume are invited to join us for a free interactive cooking class with Alanna Brown from Open Table. Learn tips and tricks for making great no-waste sauces, as well as simple techniques to help you reduce your food waste at home.

This cooking class will take place on zoom. A weblink to the event as well as a list of ingredients for passata and equipment needed to prepare it will be emailed to registered participants prior to the event. Rest assured we will use basic everyday pantry items and kitchen equipment.

With Christmas coming up and tomato season in full swing, now is a great time to plan homemade sauces as gifts for friends and family.

Open Table are a charity who help redistribute food to those in need. They organise food parcels and healthy, community lunches. They also help divert high quality food that would otherwise go to landfill.
