No Waste Pickling Workshop for Nillumbik

The Shire of Nillumbik in partnership with Open Table are excited to deliver a no waste workshop & pickling activity!

Shire of Nillumbik residents are invited to join us for an educational and interactive cooking experience, focusing on innovative yet simple ways to reduce our household food waste. 

Guided by our facilitator, we will get you started on quick pickling. You will even make a few jars of pickles to take home!

Our facilitator will also share helpful tips and tricks about reducing food waste and how to make delicious zero waste recipes. Be inspired to get creative with vegetable scraps, odds and ends and excess seasonal produce!

When: Sunday 20th October, 1-2pm

Where: Edendale Farm, 30 Gastons Road, Eltham
Mummery Room onsite (main room in the middle of the farm)

What you need:

• own small (up to 350ml) sized sterilised jars (you will be supplied a jar if you cannot bring one)

Please note:

• children must be accompanied by a guardian
• please wear closed-toe shoes
