Noir Revival
RMIT Building 12
Event description
“Noir Revival” is a digital media exhibition featuring curated visuals presented across a 3-screen projection. The video art embraces a black-and-white film aesthetic, accompanied by immersive surround sound jazz.
Each screen explores a distinct theme: ‘Kindred’ highlights wholesome content, ‘Skin & Sin’ captures the energy of nightlife and indulgence, and ‘Celluloid’ showcases narrative-driven films and short films.
Drawing inspiration from 1960s–80s jazz culture in New York and Hollywood, the exhibition celebrates the rich cultural and cinematic legacy of the Noir era and its lasting influence on film and society.
