The recent fires in Southern Europe and France were a major reminder that climate change is not merely a weather risk, buried in sustainability reports. The fires hurt tourism, wine making and other agro-industries, electricity, transportation and supply chains. In France, more than 120,000 workers were temporarily unable to work. More than 14 were killed and roughly 350,000 were displaced from their homes.
What are the as yet, widely unknown business risks from rising climate damage? What are the business opportunities? Which climate-related job skills will continue to be in demand by businesses, irrespective of favorable or unfavorable government policies?
