NOR:Toronto Film Festival
Event description
Come to NOR:Toronto Film Festival! Narratives of Resistance (NOR) has curated a rare program to show the daily life under displacement, understanding that every refugee looks different and have their own problems, but should still be shown humanity.
With help from The Collective Arts Brewery, the festival will screen 7 short films and documentaries from the Palestine Film Institute and Nakba FilmWorks. Each film will be followed by a short discussion, and postcards from artists living in Gaza will be available to buy.
For the past year, Narratives of Resistance (NOR) has organised over 7 film fundraisers and raised around $12,000 USD with collaborators worldwide. Everything raised has been donated to community aid initiatives for Palestine, and directly to Palestinian families themselves.
