Nora Aubry and flos collective present: COLLECTIVE RHYTHMS
Event description
Collective RhythmsÂ
Dance & Creative Retreat | exploring care & togetherness through movement
Join us for a creative day out and boogie by the sea, centred around the themes of care & belonging! Together, we will explore ways in which tenderness, community & collective resilience are cultivated within groups from marginalised genders to navigate & resist oppressive systems. This workshop and creative lab is intended for creatives who identify as women and/or non binary and/or trans and we particularly encourage people who do not often dance or move creatively to come along - it will be low key, playful and wholesome!
The aim of this creative retreat is to connect with other creatives & the environment around us through movement and feel inspired together. There will be opportunities to capture ideas & respond creatively to the themes explored throughout the session - so feel free to bring along any art supplies, music instruments, recording equipment, or technology, that you can carry (we will provide some material as well).Â
Although there is no pressure to contribute, we would love for this creative day to result in a tangible collaborative project - perhaps a film? a publication? an exhibition? Who knows!
---
**Please note that due to the themes of the session and its focus on connection there will be invitations for physical contact, however you will not be expected to partake if you do not feel comfortable doing so. This project is led by multidisciplinary & movement artist @noreschka, do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!**
