The North Canterbury Wearable Arts Show is North Canterbury's premier creative fashion event. Featuring an extraordinary showcase of unique wearable art - imagined, designed, and constructed by artists, designers and creators of all ages welcomed from all over New Zealand.
The 2025 categories are...
Children:
Years 1 - 6 - Outrageous Hats.
Years 7 - 8 - Steampunk OR Open.
Years 9 - 13 - Earth, Wind, Fire OR Open.
Adults:
Avant Garde OR Open.
Join us for a captivating evening of creative inspiration and entertainment. The North Canterbury Wearable Arts show is a fun family experience that will leave you in awe of the talent and creativity of the student and adult entries alike.
THE EVENING
Doors will open at 5.45pm for Early Access ticket holders to gain entry to the auditorium 30 minutes before Standard ticket holders. There are a limited number of Early Access tickets so get in fast to have the opportunity to get the best seats in the house! Standard ticket holders gain entry to the auditorium from 6.15pm. Show starts at 7.00pm.
From the moment of admission wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, free tap water, and light food options will be available to purchase. There will be an intermission between the student and adult sections. This gives our guests the opportunity to refresh their glasses and get some delicious snacks ready for the incredible adult section in the second part of the show.
This is an event for the whole family with entertainment and unique wearable art that will captivate from beginning to end. Book your tickets now to secure your spot at this highly anticipated event.
THE HOSTS
Who is behind this remarkable event? The North Canterbury Wearable Arts show is created, organised, and run by the Oxford Area School (OAS). All proceeds from the evening are used to directly support the OAS students in a variety of ways and is very much appreciated by the students, teachers, parents, caregivers, PTA, and the entire OAS community.
SEATING
Please see below for an indicative seating map of the venue. Please note that the seating is not designated and so cannot be selected at the time of booking. To have the opportunity to select from the best seats in the house, purchase the Priority Access tickets which gives entry 30 minutes before Standard Access ticket holders.
PARKING
There is a carpark out the front of the venue, however if this is full when you arrive there is plenty of street parking available close by.
