Northern Beaches Mental Health Summit
Event description
It goes without saying that 2020’s been tough. Many of us have been feeling isolated and are facing challenges we could never have imagined.
It is during these times we must remember there is always hope.
Which is why we are giving young people living on the Northern Beaches the chance to start important and positive conversations about mental health.
On Monday 19 October, you’ll get the chance to ask questions from local mental health advocates:
- James Griffin MP - Member for Manly.
- Joel Thompson - Manly Sea Eagles second-rower and Indigenous All-Star captain
- Alex Hayes - surfer and content creator
- India Smith - batyr Head of Programs.
You’ll also:
- Hear from a young local sharing their story of hope, courage and resilience.
- Connect and learn from each other about challenges and ways we can move forward together.
This event will give the Northern Beaches community an opportunity to come together to build resilience and hope, and to create more positive conversation around mental health in order to reduce stigma and encourage each other to seek help when they need it.
Come along to this jam-packed and interactive live-streamed session to make your voice heard.
