Northern Rivers Rail Trail - Electric Bikes

We are excited to invite you to an invigorating day out on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail! Join us for a scenic adventure as we cruise along this beautifully transformed rail corridor on board electric bikes. FREE for our Currumbin / Palm Beach RSL Sub Branch members and Immediate partners of. 

Event Details:

• Date: Friday 09th May 2025
• Meeting Point: 8 Railway St Murwillumbah NSW
• Time: 9:30 AM - 1:30pm (approx)

Schedule:

• 8:30 AM: For those using the Courtesy bus, meet at Currumbin RSL. We will depart Currumbin RSL at 08:30 (Limited seats available) 
• 9:20 AM: Arrival at Murwillumbah and collection of electric bikes.
• 9:30 AM: Begin our cycling cruise on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
• 1:30 PM: Return to the bus and drive back to Currumbin RSL.
• 2:15PM - 2:30PM: Approximate arrival at Currumbin RSL 

About the Trail: The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is transforming the former Casino to Murwillumbah rail corridor into a new and exciting recreation and nature trail. Traversing some of the most spectacular countryside in Australia, it winds its way through scenic villages and towns, rail tunnels, and historic bridges to discover the natural beauty of the region.
This extensive Rail Trail network showcases the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Northern Rivers region, promoting health and well-being, eco-tourism, and economic development. 

Important information:

• If you require a seat on the courtesy bus, please book this at the same time as your ticket for the number of seats required. 
• For our upcoming activity, please ensure you wear weather-appropriate and comfortable attire. 
• Although we will be using electric bikes, a minimum level of fitness and ability is still required to participate.
• Additionally, if you prefer to meet us directly at the bike pick-up location instead of taking the courtesy bus, kindly let me know in advance.
• Light refreshments will be provided however participants are to bring their own water.
