Event description

We’re going on a Road Trip to the Northern Rivers Zine Fair in Kyogle - and you’re all invited!

We’ll have a table full of Queer zines AND we’ve got the whole downstairs space for a Sprouts and Young Queerios zine making Bonanza! You’ll find us in the Banquet Room (down the stairs beside the stage).

Come explore and celebrate queer creativity, storytelling, and self-expression with us! It's not just zines, there's a whole afternoon of music, activities and fun in store for y'all.

📅 12:30 - 5, Sat, 12th April
📍 Kyogle Memorial Hall
💰 FREE event!

This is a family friendly event for Sprouts, Young Queerios, Rainbow Families & the whole community!

We’ll be selling & swapping zines that showcase voices from all across our community and repping queer indie publishing in all its DIY glory! Whether you’re keen to buy, trade, chat, or just soak up the vibe, we’d love to see you there.

💜 Getting there: Young Queerios (12+) can request transport from Byron / Ballina / Lismore LGAs. Fuel vouchers are available to support other folks to get there.

💡 Want to get involved? We’re calling out for zine contributions soon, holding a kids/youth zine making day in Mullum on 15/3, and also looking for friendly faces to hang out with the table and chill out area - a great way to support Queer Family and the local zine scene!

This is a great chance to celebrate Queer storytelling, art, and community—come along, support local artists, and buy lots of Queer zines 💖✨

This activity is made possible through the Social Futures Resilient Kids program. The Resilient Kids Program is funded by Healthy North Coast through a grant provided by the Australian Government.
